In this presentation, Robert Duff, the project manager for the Marches Mosses BogLIFE project outlined the importance of peatland restoration for nature.
The Restoring Lowland Peatland for Biodiversity & Carbon Conference was hosted by Harper Adams University on Wednesday 20th July. This conference was supported by the EU LIFE Programme and the National Lottery Heritage Fund. The day was a great celebration of the work done throughout the BogLIFE project, and the collaboration between Natural England, Natural Resources Wales and Shropshire Wildlife Trust.
The conference looked at lessons learned from the restoration of The Mosses, whilst also looking into how best to manage peatland habitats for the future.
