We have lost a great friend of the village this month. Patrick Marks, my predecessor as editor of the Snailbeach District News has died after a very sudden and rapid deterioration of his health.
This has come as a great shock to his wife Maria, his family and to the many of us who have enjoyed his company in the pub, his experience at village hall events and his enthusiastic ukulele playing at our recent musical jam sessions.
Patrick’s funeral is at Shrewsbury Crematorium at 4.15pm on Wednesday 18th October.
